The Energy Collective is much more than an online magazine. Our vision is to facilitate conversation and debate between all of you - the entrepreneurs, analysts, researchers, executives, and academics that animate our community - and to provide a forum for your ideas.

To ensure that we continue to live up to the highest standards, we've asked four of our most respected member-bloggers to serve as an advisory board for the site. They were selected for the outstanding quality of their work, their expertise across the spectrum of disciplines that make up our community, and most of all for their commitment to the ideals that drive us: inclusiveness, balance, community and civility.

Watch for original, exclusive posts from our advisory board members. They'll enliven our podcast series, appear in our webinars, and cover events for us as the opportunities arise. And we look to them to be advocates for the community-at-large as well, keeping us focused on our mission as we expand, and making sure we don't forget...

Scott Edward Anderson

Scott Edward Anderson is founder of VerdeStrategy, a consulting and advisory firm focused on the cleantech, energy, and environment sectors, and the popular blog TheGreenSkeptic.com, as well as a frequent commentator on FOX Business Network. He has over 20 years experience in management, marketing, fund raising and business development. He has held management positions for large institutions, such as The Nature Conservancy, the world's most successful global conservation organization, and Ashoka, a social venture capital organization with operations in 72 countries worldwide, and has consulted with dozens of businesses and social entrepreneurs around the globe.

Marc Gunther

Marc Gunther is a writer, speaker and consultant, who focuses on business and the environment. He worked for 12 years as a senior writer at FORTUNE magazine, where he is now a contributing editor. His most recent book, "Faith and Fortune: How Compassionate Capitalism is Transforming American Business," was published by Crown in 2004. A graduate of Yale, he lives in Bethesda, MD.

Christine Hertzog

Christine Hertzog is a consultant, author, and a professional explainer focused on Smart Grid technologies and solutions. As a consultant, she helps clients understand and navigate the electricity ecosystem of emerging technologies and markets. She is the author of the Smart Grid Dictionary, the first dictionary that explains the jargon, acronyms, and terminology used by utilities, regulators, standards organizations, and manufacturers. She has two decades of experience helping companies that range from small start-ups to multi-national corporations deliver competitive and cost-effective solutions and services to customers. Based in Silicon Valley, she is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and writes a blog about the challenges and opportunities that Smart Grid solutions bring to the evolving electricity supply chain, and their impacts to consumers.

Jesse Jenkins

Jesse is currently the director of energy and climate policy at the Breakthrough Institute where he helps develop and advance new energy solutions to power America's future, secure our energy freedom, and halt global warming. Jesse joined the Breakthrough team in June 2008 to co-direct the Breakthrough Generation Summer Fellows Program.

Geoffrey Styles

Geoffrey Styles is Managing Director of GSW Strategy Group, LLC, an energy and environmental strategy consulting firm. Since 2002 he has served as a consultant and advisor, helping organizations and executives address systems-level challenges. His industry experience includes 22 years at Texaco Inc., culminating in a senior position on Texaco's leadership team for strategy development, focused on the global refining, marketing, transportation and alternative energy businesses, and global issues such as climate change. Previously he held senior positions in alliance management, planning, supply & distribution, and risk management. He also served on NASA's Senior Management Oversight Committee for Space Solar Power. He earned an M.B.A from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from U.C. Davis. Dan Yurman

Dan Yurman publishes 'Idaho Samizdat' a blog on nuclear energy. It covers the nuclear energy industry globally including economics, politics, and technologies. The blog is now in its third year of operation with readers in 70 countries.  http://djysrv.blogspot.com.
