It is with great pleasure that I announce today that Jesse Jenkins, a member of our blogger advisory board, a long-time friend of The Energy Collective and one of the smartest people I know when it comes to energy policy, will be taking on the role of Featured Writer and Digital Community Strategist.

While pursuing his graduate studies at MIT, Jesse will also be responsible for working with our existing board and bloggers,  finding new, smart thinkers for the site, contributing original insight on a weekly basis, hosting webinars and tweet chats, and acting as our ambassador to key events.  He will also oversee and advise our publishing team about what and how we cover what’s happening in energy and climate change.

Jesse was until last year the Director of Energy and Climate Policy for The Breakthrough Institute, and his writing has appeared in testimony before the United States Senate and in major media outlets, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Time Magazine, Newsweek, and National Public Radio. His appearances include National Public Radio, MSNBC, Fox News, Bloomberg TV, and KQED "Forum." His op-eds and articles have been featured in the pages of Forbes, Atlantic Monthly, The Hill, San Francisco Chronicle, Baltimore Sun, Yale Environment 360 and other publications.
