Ironically or not, there was no power source in the auditorium, so I'm recharging elsewhere.  The Biofuels panel discussion really picked up when Andrew de Pass, Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Developments Investments at Citi, noted that with the ethanol-gasoline spread in the negatives, the likelihood of the producing companies having to restructure debt was significant. 

My favorite on the panel: AgriPower, the little engines that can.  Producing a very low-tech, all available components mini-power plants that produce energy in the form of heat and electricity from all kinds of agricultural waste, including chicken you-know-what.  When I tried to find out from CEO and former investment banker, Barry Berman what was the amount of energy consumed in production of the energy out, he hedged... But let's see if we can find out.
