Bill White has more than 15 years of experience developing and implementing public-private partnerships and corporate strategies that advance action. As Senior Vice President of David Gardiner & Associates, Bill provides strategic counsel to corporate executives and non-profit leaders. Among his principal areas of expertise are energy efficiency, smart grid & transmission, renewable energy, and managing risks and opportunities in climate change and energy for corporations. Bill’s extraordinary skill of building coalitions across industry and non-profit organizations has brought diverse environmental interests together to effect new policies at the federal level. For example, his work as a senior consultant to the Energy Future Coalition and Americans for a Clean Energy Grid united industry and environmental groups in a successful effort to get FERC to enact new transmission policies.
Prior to joining DGA, Bill represented EPA’s Energy Star program in New England and established successful energy efficiency initiatives with businesses, utilities, municipal governments, and colleges and universities. As Senior Advisor for Climate Change to EPA Administrator Carol Browner, he represented the EPA in White House climate change policy development and in negotiations with the G-8, China and Mexico. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Conservation Strategy Fund. Bill holds a B.A. in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University.
