Cliff Majersik is executive director of the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, that promotes energy efficiency in buildings. Working with leaders in the public and private sectors, Majersik oversees IMT’s principal activities in the areas of building energy codes, building energy performance policy, and energy efficiency financing and appraisal.
Majersik is a pioneer of energy efficiency concepts that have gained national prominence. His work on mortgage finance policy led to the introduction of federal legislation in 2011, and he helped craft the groundbreaking building energy benchmarking and disclosure laws in the District of Columbia and New York City.
Majersik is a frequent public speaker and has presented at events hosted by the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the U.S. Department of Energy, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and the New York Academy of Sciences. He was previously a management consultant at the Corporate Executive Board, advising dozens of firms including Cisco, Oracle, and Marriott.
