Established G. Noland & Associates Inc. in January, 2007 to protect intellectual property for an advanced OTEC system concept that features reduced parasitic losses and the potential for small, medium and very large system sizes. Major activities since January 2007 include: • Continued to provide assistance to Lockheed Martin with strategic planning, briefing development, proposal development, and generation of various proposals and White Papers • Developed OTEC Business Plan for Lockheed Martin with assistance from Bill Garnett, an associate of GNA Inc., who adapted a utility financial model for OTEC systems • Developed Commercialization Plan for OTEC for Hawaii • Developed Commercialization Plan for OTEC for Guam • Supported various contracted system studies and analysis for the US Navy and DOE • Published Promise of OTEC video clip on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfnlpdX2RE0) • Assisted Dr. M.A. Champ, Sigma Xi, and others with planning the Desalination Challenge • Assisted MDA with Power Atoll strategic planning.
