The opponents to Vermont Yankee are very loud, and you can begin to think that the tritium leak is the worst environmental disaster in Vermont history (our governor said that) and so forth. There's a lot of fear-mongering out there, indeed. Fear sells.
Meredith, Thanks for the good work. Meredith, I hope that in these dire economic times, enough people will get off romantic notions, will disdain inaccurate emotional responses, and help get us back on track for an energy secure future.
It scares me to think of the potential for deprivation and economic ruin that renewables zealotry along with anti-nuclear fear mongering might potential visit upon our nation.

Thanks for putting the slides together along wth the narration to go with them. I don't see how anyone could think nuclear power was bad after hearing a "grandma" explain it.
I knew the total amount of tritium at VY was low, but I didn't realize it was that low. I'm guessing that a leak from the underground storage tank at your local gas station would probably have the potential to cause more harm than these tritium leaks.
